General Rules for File Preparation
File Formats
- Preferred: PDF in PDF/X-1a version, PDF 1.3
- Accepted:
- CDR (CorelDRAW version from 12.0 to 20.0 inclusive)
- TIFF, JPG (not recommended due to lossy compression)
Text Preparation
- Convert all texts to curves or embed fonts in the file
- We do not recommend rasterizing texts. Texts should remain in vector form.
Multi-page Files
- Save all pages in one file, in the correct order (front / back / enhancement mask / cutting grid, etc.).
- If the file format does not allow this, save each page as a separate file, using clear naming, e.g. project_front.tiff, project_back.tiff.
Composition and Layers
- For projects with multiple layers, shadows, transparencies, etc., flatten the graphics to a single background image. Leave only texts, logos, and other key elements in vector form.
- TIFF File Preparation: Files must be saved as a single layer, without additional channels. Compression using LZW is recommended.
