Transparent self-adhesive labels - perfect discretion
Self-adhesive labels on transparent film are an excellent choice wherever the label needs to be practically invisible, and the content or graphics give the impression of being printed directly on the product. This solution is particularly valued in the cosmetics, food, pharmaceutical industries, and the premium sector.
Thanks to the transparent substrate, the labels perfectly blend with glass, plastic, or metal packaging. They allow for an elegant, minimalist "no label look" effect, meaning the effect of no label. Combined with white print or White + CMYK, high readability can be achieved even on dark or colored surfaces.
Technical Parameters of Transparent Labels - Any Shapes
Substrate: transparent polypropylene film, glossy
Film thickness: 60 µm ±10 µm
Liner: siliconized paper, white
Liner weight: 80 g/m²
Liner thickness: 81 µm
Adhesive: permanent, transparent acrylic with adhesion min. 9 N / 25 mm
Printing Technology
Digital printing CMYK.
White color as an additional color appearing independently, alongside CMYK printing or as an underprint.
Options
Transparent labels are available in two variants:
Labels of any shapes - plotter cut and delivered in sheets.
Single-use labels. Labels of any shapes, plotter cut within the selected format and then cut into single uses (squares or rectangles) on a guillotine - ready for direct distribution, packaging, inclusion as a gadget or promotional addition.
Note
Transparent film does not have its own background, therefore all CMYK colors without white underprint will be semi-transparent. The final effect depends on the color and structure of the substrate to which the label is applied.
To achieve full coverage and faithful color reproduction, especially on dark or colored surfaces, it is recommended to use a white underprint. White color can also be used independently – this allows for a minimalist and elegant effect, characteristic of premium markings.
How to prepare files for printing transparent labels
Project sizes
Prepare the design in the size of the ordered item plus 2 mm bleed on each side, and a separately prepared cutting line.
For labels cut into individual items, the file should have a 4 mm bleed on each side.
CMYK
When designing graphics on transparent foil, the influence of the substrate on color perception should be taken into account. CMYK printing without white underprint is semi-transparent – colors become partially transparent and take on the color and texture of the surface to which the label will be applied.
If you require full opacity, saturated colors, and faithful color reproduction, especially on dark, colored, or non-uniform backgrounds, it is recommended to use a white underprint beneath the graphics. Please note that transparent foil does not have its own background – any unprinted area remains completely transparent.
Black solid
The best black effect is achieved by using 100% K.
Designing cutting/perforation lines
Note! When ordering with the option of cutting into individual items, the Client prepares only the perforation line (in the size of the ordered label). Do not add a cutting line for individual items.
Note
If the shape of the label is too complex, the final product may differ slightly from the design (slight rounding).
