Prototypes are printed using digital technology and are not intended for color approval. They are only used to assess whether the box folds correctly, has the appropriate rigidity, and whether the design is properly aligned with the die-cut. Due to differences in printing technology, colors in offset printing may differ from the prototype. The option to create a prototype holds the execution of the order until it is approved by the Client.

This box is an elegant way to store and present business cards. The box comes in two versions, designed to perfectly fit standard and euro format business cards. Our boxes are an economical and convenient solution with the possibility of ordering from a few pieces to several thousand pieces.  

We offer printed cardboard boxes, produced on GC1 boards and on decorative papers with a weight of 200–400 g/m². These are lightweight materials, mostly smooth and excellent for printing, ideal for small and medium packaging. Due to the properties of the cardboard, the maximum dimensions of the packaging are approx. length/width 150-180mm, height 50-90mm. If too large or too small dimensions are introduced, the calculator will inform you.  

Application

The business card box is dedicated to storing and handing out both standard and euro business cards. Our boxes are suitable for many industries – from cosmetics, food, and HoReCa, to packaging for premium products, promotional gadgets, or sweets. It is an aesthetic and functional solution that highlights the brand's character and professionally presents the product.

Packaging is the first meeting of the Client with your brand, it should say more than a thousand words. Printed cartons highlight the brand's character, distinguish the product, and build a positive Client experience – from the first glance to the final choice.

Box construction

Construction glued on one side. Business card box with a top closing flap and an exhibition opening, glued on one side. 
Closed by appropriately folding the bottom wall lock, the top flap has an additional wing to stabilize the closure. The box is available in versions designed to perfectly fit business cards in standard and euro formats.

Available single-sided (4/0) and double-sided (4/4) CMYK printing.

Printing technology

The calculator supports two types of printing technologies: digital printing on the Ricoh Pro C9210 machine and offset printing on the Heidelberg Speedmaster SM52-4 Anicolor. Both technologies ensure high printing precision, and the calculator itself allows comparison of both technologies in terms of available finishing and enhancement options. This enables the user to match the technology to the specifics of the order, considering the requirements for print run and type of finishing.

Enhancements

Lamination: matte, glossy, Soft-Touch

Varnishing: selective UV varnish, 3D varnish

Metallic finishes: Liquid Gold, Liquid Silver

Personalization

There is also the possibility of personalizing the print with variable data.

Cutting options

Plotter cutting – for low print runs for short and medium series (without repetitions), test batches or prototypes.

Die-cutting – for medium (with repetitions) and high print runs, ensuring fast and economical production of a larger number of copies.

Delivery

Business card boxes are delivered flat, glued on one side. 

Recommendations/notes

  • We recommend laminating prints on coated papers due to the possibility of cracking on creases. 
  • Due to the properties of the cardboard, the maximum dimensions of the packaging are approx. length/width 150-180mm, height 50-90mm. 

How to prepare a file for die-cutting/box cutting   

Project sizes

Prepare the project according to the selected template (cutting lines) available in the calculator after selecting the model and entering the dimensions.

Options

  • download the grid file and create the design in your graphic program.

Do not change the format, proportions, or layout of the template.

File preparation

The finished project should be saved as a multi-page file (PDF):

pages 1-2: single or double-sided box graphics, without cutting lines. The file should be prepared in the box format plus 3mm bleed on each side.

On separate pages, the grid and enhancement masks (if selected).

Remove all unnecessary elements from the project, such as tables, technical descriptions, or "dieline information".
