Prototypes are printed using digital technology and are not intended for color approval. They are only used to assess whether the box folds correctly, has the appropriate rigidity, and whether the design is properly aligned with the die-cut. Due to differences in printing technology, colors in offset printing may differ from the prototype. The option to create a prototype holds the execution of the order until it is approved by the Client.

Materials

  • Single-sided and double-sided coated papers (matte/glossy).
  • Decorative and kraft papers (gray)

Available Paper Weights

The selection of paper weights for our products has been carefully considered and based on tests to ensure optimal quality and functionality of each finished design.

Paper/Cardboard Weights Adapted to the Product:

  • Depending on the type of die and die-cutting technique, we choose papers that best meet the product's requirements – not too stiff to facilitate folding, yet stiff enough to ensure adequate durability.
  • Foldable Products - for items requiring folding, we use medium-weight papers that fold well at creases, avoiding damage and cracking.
  • Single Products - for non-foldable items, such as single elements or cards, we can use higher weights, up to 400 g/m², to ensure exceptional stiffness.

Printing Technologies and Finishing Options

  • Full-color CMYK printing.
  • Lamination (matte/glossy) – especially recommended for creased products on coated papers to minimize the risk of cracking at folds.
  • Finishes using selective varnishes, Liquid Gold, Liquid Silver.
  • Personalization

How to prepare files for die-cutting with ready-made dies?

Project Sizes

  • Prepare the project according to the selected template available in the calculator after choosing a specific product or design.
  • The die template is located in the D&D database, it does not need to be included in the files sent.
  • Do not change the template format.

Job Preparation

Prepare the project for offset or digital printing. All the rules for proper file preparation can be found in the Help section.
