Resolution & Screen Ruling |
Resolution 1200 x 600 dpi. Screen Ruling 156 lpi. |
On a standard basis artworks are printed with 600 x 600 dpi resolution. |
Image |
Printouts look like printed on the black & white laser printer. |
Very good text quality (rich, saturated black colour).
Superior image quality and high repeatability in comparison to standard desk printers. |
Colours |
Colours are automatically converted to greyscale. |
Colours with similar lumination can be difficult to distinguish when printed.
For that reason it is recommended to prepare artwork already in greyscale.
As on large solids some lighter areas
on the width and visual bands on the length of the page can occur, try to avoid using large
solid black or grey areas. |
Text Quality |
Quality of black and colour text
is perfect for types not smaller than 4 points. |
Do not use small grey texts because they result in jagged appearance when printed.
Instead of this, to achieve best results use bolded text bigger than 12 pt. |
Line Quality |
Nuvera 288 system can print continuous lines not thinner than 0,05 mm for 100% black cover. |
Do not use grey thin lines as they appear jagged when printed and in some cases may not be printed.
|
Front- & Backside Registering |
As paper shrinks during printing it may result in
misregistration up to 0,75 mm between face- and backside of the page. |
Please take into account also 1mm cutting tolerance.
|
UV & Water Resistance |
UV and water resistance as for printouts from any black & white laser printer. |
UV & water resistance depends on the chosen medium (paper). |
Finishing |
No finishing. |
|
Usage |
Black & white book pages, flyers, stationery, letterhead, tickets etc. |
|
Usage Limitations |
Printouts cannot be overprinted on laser printers (e.g. as letterhead) beacause warming up of toner in a printer results in damaging of printouts and dirtying printer's cylinder. |
Instead of this printouts (best when made from offset and satin papers) can be overprinted on inkjet printers. |
